ARINC Adds Two New Ground Stations in Malaysia

ARINC has launched two new remote ground stations (RGS) in Langkawi and Miri, Malaysia, to enhance aviation data link communications services in the country.

The deployment is in line with ARINC’s plan to expand GLOBALink SM/VHF coverage in Asia Pacific, and brings the total of ARINC remote ground stations in Malaysia to seven, including current installations in Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Penang.

Delta Expands Codeshare with Virgin Blue

Delta Air Lines is expanding its codeshare with the Virgin Blue Airlines Group by adding five new destinations in Australia and New Zealand to Delta's network.

The new service, which will begin 21 May 2011, will allow Delta customers to seamlessly connect to Perth, Adelaide and Canberra in Australia, as well as Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand.

Delta customers currently can connect on Virgin Blue flights to Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia, under codeshare flights that began in January 2010. Delta operates nonstop service between Los Angeles and Sydney, where all codeshare flights connect.

Korean Air Orders Five More Airbus A330s

Korean Air has placed a firm order with Airbus for five A330-200s.

This latest purchase agreement increases the total numbers of A330s ordered by Korean Air to 30 aircraft, of which 23 have already been delivered.

Germanwings Chooses Travelport E-Ticket Database Technology
